GMO Free California’s website, our materials, electronic products and/or services have several features. In addition to providing educational information about the food system, our programs, events and printed material, the website provides you with the opportunity to participate in a national food movement that works to create a healthier food system. We encourage you to read the entire policy as it sets forth our understanding with you when you visit our website. These terms and conditions have been developed for your protection, as well as ours.
The Website is available for individuals aged 13 years or older. If you are 13 or older, but under the age of 18, you should review this Agreement with your parent or guardian to make sure that you and your parent or guardian understand it.

On registration, we expect you to provide GMO Free California with an accurate and complete information of the compulsory fields. We also expect you to keep the information secure, specifically access passwords and payment information. Kindly update the information periodically to keep your account relevant. GMO Free California will rely on any information you provide to us.
Any personal data collated through the GMO Free California’s Website will be treated confidentially, and will only be used to process your donation and for statistical analysis to continually improve the Website and its Services to you, and to service the Website. Personal data will be processed in compliance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. 10.3. Data may be shared with the police, the government or any other legal authority investigating suspected legal activities if there is an official request.
The Website may contain links to third-party websites (“External Sites”). These links are provided solely as a convenience to you and not as an endorsement by us of the content on such External Sites. The content of such External Sites is developed and provided by others. If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to GMO Free California, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation. Please contact us to request a refund.
Refunds are returned using the original method of payment, except cash donations will be returned via check. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
Here are the types of donor information that we collect and maintain:
1.contact information: name, organization, complete address, phone number, email address;
2.payment information: credit card number and expiration date, and billing information;
3. information you wish to share: questions, comments, suggestions; and your request to receive periodic updates: e.g., to individuals who request it, we will send periodic mailings related to specific fund-raising appeals and newsletters.
How Information is Used.
GMO Free California uses your information to understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a transaction, communicate back to you, and update you on our latest research update, campaigns, events and volunteer opportunities. Credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained for other purposes. We use the comments you offer to provide you with information requested, and we take seriously each recommendation as to how we might improve communication.
No Sharing of Personal Information.
GMO Free California will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to other organizations, except our parent organization and fiscal/project sponsor, GMO Free USA. We assure you that the identity of all our donors will be kept confidential. Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of GMO Free California.
